With its white sandy beaches, 170 km of cycle paths, beautiful dune landscapes and 8 museums, Texel is a great destination for the whole family! The largest Wadden Island in the Netherlands has 30km of sandy beaches and invites you inland with mountain bike trails and cultural sites for an unforgettable visit. There’s something for everyone!
Cycling through the dunes
Three nostalgic Dutch bikes are at our guests’ free disposal. If you are looking for something sportier or an e-bike, you can rent additional bikes from the bike rental shop next door. You can also use the route planner to find beautiful routes around Den Helder and Texel. The surrounding area attracts with tulip fields and dune landscapes. And rumour has it that there is only a tailwind in and around Julianadorp….
Eating in and around Julianadorp
The highlight of any holiday in Julianadorp is the fries at the Snackbar Van Foreest! But the view in the beach bars should not be overlooked either. Relaxing with a coffee at Paal6or the beach restaurant Zee van Tijd is a great way to live. By the way, in addition to the “Appeltaart met Slagroom”, you can also enjoy a hot meal or two there in the evening.
And if you ever find yourself in Den Helder, the Leuk! is highly recommended. In Schagen, it’s worth enjoying the impressive delicacies at the Tov!
